SLIDE TO HIDE!

It’s simple, we needed a full length mirror in Bedroom 002. Well, it should have been simple…

After scouring our usual dark corners of the internet and treasure troves in North Yorkshire we couldn’t find anything that we could all agree on being right for the room, until Ben suggested the idea of a sliding panel that would house a mirror, shelves and be able to completely close the room off once you were inside it. Several minutes later he had drawn some rough sketches and we were booking in Austin to measure up and make Ben’s vision a reality!

The idea was that you would walk into the bedroom and be inside a completely yellow box, where you would then slide the wall and reveal the bedroom. You would also be able to slide the wall across once you were in the bedroom to close yourself off from the rest of the house and daydream until you can no longer daydream.

Well, two days later and the idea is now built and installed and we have a fully functional mirror complete with its own sliding wall! We are absolutely buzzing as it really has transformed the room and given us two completely different bedroom’s for our guests to choose from when they check in, we just hope there’s no falling out!
